This is terrible news for the old lady.

Juventus have suffered yet another injury blow after star striker Gonzalo Higuaín was forced off in the Turin derby, potentially throwing his participation against Tottenham Hotspur into doubt.

The Old Lady are currently in the midst of an injury crisis, with Blaise Matuidi, Juan Cuadrado and Paulo Dybala all absent from the Champions League last 16, first leg against Spurs, which was drawn 2-2 and are still all in doubt for the return leg at Wembley.

The Argentine was absolutely sensational for Juve against Spurs, scoring twice – though he did miss a second penalty later on the stroke of half-time – but he lasted just 15 minutes against Torino and has come as a big boost for Tottenham.

Higuaín appeared to suffer the injury to his left ankle after colliding with Torino goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu and was unable to run it off, signaling to the bench that he needed to come off.

Juventus responded well to the setback though, and took the lead just a few moments later through left-back Alex Sandro, who tucked home substitute Bernardeschi’s cross.
