Prophet Wale Ojo is the presiding Shepherd of Harvest Centre (City of Mercy Mission Nigeria) and the minister who predicted 2021  Bola Tinubu’s emergence as President-elect after the Feb. 25 polls.

 For Prophet Wale Ojo who was a businessman before he was called into the prophetic ministry three decades ago, obeying the call of God upon his life wasn’t an easy decision.

With a large ministry geared towards the revival of the Christians, building fellowship through intercessory, evangelism, and care for the needy Wale Ojo has continued to touch lives.

In this interview with Iplege2Nigeria.net Lagos correspondent at Alausa Ikeja he spoke on the just concluded presidential election which he claims has the backing of God and other issues.

What is the role of ministers of God in endorsing political candidates?

I am a minister of God, I know the kind of meetings I attend. In one of those meetings, I told them, that the candidate of God, no matter how we manipulate, emerges. So the question about Church playing its role is not relevant because doesn’t have any role to play in politics. I told you that I don’t know Tinubu one on one. One day, I will see him and he will see me. The minister of God has no sit with any politician. If they come as a child we pray for them. There is no reason why a minister will be endorsing any politician. I didn’t say that I endorse Tinubu, I didn’t say, I prefer Tinubu. I don’t have any preferred candidate but God showed me Tinubu by himself and told me that I should tell people.

So what exactly did the LORD say concerning him?

The Lord made me understand that Obasanjo helped to deliver Nigeria from slavery. And Tinubu will take Nigeria out of the wilderness. Slavery is a place where another person holds the key to where you are. But the wilderness is a place that you will be moving from one place to another. You are free to move but the place is in the wilderness.

A wilderness could be fertile land but you might not have the instrument to cultivate the land and harvest fruit.

So the LORD said that Tinubu will take Nigeria out of the wilderness for productivity and enhancement. That means God himself knows that we have resources in Nigeria. And Tinubu is the vessel that the Lord will use. That is why regardless of anything that happened before he emerged as the President elect which by the grace of God come May 29, he will be Nigeria’s President.

You said God told you before now that Tinubu was going to emerge the winner of the Presidential election, did God say the electoral process is going to be characterised by irregularities and manipulations? Did God also reveal that in a country that we have diverse religions that it would be a Muslim ticket that will take Nigeria out of the wilderness?

Sometime last year, I was asked about the Muslim, Muslim Presidential ticket, there is nothing like that when we talk about leadership. There is nothing like tribe, or religion when talking about leadership. We are all from Nigeria. The Muslims and the Christians are from Nigeria. We can’t pick Christians from the Republic of Benin or elsewhere we are still going to be ruled by people from Nigeria. 

If some people pick Muslim, Muslim ticket, the only thing that we as clerics and ministers of God will be looking for, is the voice of God. I am a Prophet by calling, I invest everything just to hear the voice of God. It is not in my place to talk about the irregularities in the election because I am not working with INEC. 

On Election Day, I was not in the country, but my people were here and voted. The place where I need to pray is the particular assignment given to me. The prayer is simple, it is not Tinubu who must win the election. The prayer is that your voice must be established for the nation of Nigeria and Africa’s freedom. Tinubu emerges for African freedom not just Nigeria. I don’t know why God put it like that. And the LORD told me. He is going to take Nigeria out of the wilderness so all the situation that we find ourselves in today is because we are in the wilderness. People can say what they like but what I know is the voice of God. God is going to bring one man as a vessel from Nigeria and that Man is Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be the next president. and he will take Nigeria out of the wilderness to productivity and enhancement.

I would still write an open letter to Tinubu. Because heaven is waiting for how he is going to serve Nigeria and all the good people of Nigeria are waiting. But I can tell you it is the voice of God.

Has God revealed what he will do with the killings, banditry, and insurgents that have continued unabated after the elections, take for instance Benue state where killing has become a daily occurrence?

This is where the ministers and clerics have a duty, the prayer for their nation. The only thing that can rescue Nigeria is prayer.

That is where all the leaders need to have a clear focus, regardless of religion but the killings, and banditry. It is the duty of ministers of God to pray. We have been praying. The Bible says we should pray for our country.

Whatsoever situation we are going through in this country is not heavier than the ones that happened in the Bible. If God says today this is my hand, this is what I want, we will do it and I am now telling you that if God has promised to deliver Nigeria, I don’t know where, And I don’t need to be asking. how are you going to do it, he is the creator of heaven and earth.

Do you think the Churches in Nigeria are playing their role?

In Nigeria we have a complete ministry,  we have teachers, shepherd is pastors, and when we talk about the prophet. We have evangelists. Our issue is that we have few men of God, that have focused on his people That is why Jesus Christ says, I know my sheep and my sheep know me. And when they hear my voice they will follow but unfortunately most Nigerians are focused on the church building and structure. We deceive ourselves with bogus physical things to prove that this is our pastor. Each shepherd makes provision for his sheep.   We have ministers of God doing evangelism every day because they want to win a soul, unfortunately, we need to ask if the evangelism is because of the soul or the money. Is it because of the money or the fame?

Personally, I don’t know Tinubu, there has not been a time I have requested to know him. I am just saying what the Lord told me. 

In 2018, the LORD revealed to me that there is going to be a global crisis through sickness in the world and that we should go to three different markets and pray. I picked one market in Nigeria and other markets in other countries. And by the grace of God, that was how I came in contact with the Iyaloja of ikorodu at that time. We held the program on December 27, 2018. We distributed millions of stickers during the program in Ikorodu. Later in 2019, there was COVID-19 outbreak. The first case in Nigeria was in February 2019.

So the message must come before the time. So we can pray ahead that is the duty of a prophet. We spent millions of naira on that program.

During the time of coronavirus, we planted harvest mission camp, where we prayed for 91 days none stop. Most of the Churches had stopped converging. 

Why did God not stop it all, after revealing that something like this would happen, and his Prophet prays?

When prayer is offered in situations like this, it is for the grace and mercy of God to abound. The goodness of God comes through prayer.
