As the country woke up to a new adjusted petroleum pump price of N617 by the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) in Ibadan has fixed the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at N600 per litre.
Earlier in the morning of Tuesday, most filling stations were selling the product between N540 and N550 per litre.
The news that NNPC had officially adjusted its pump price to N617 per litre caused a frenzy as motorists rushed into filling stations to fill their tanks.
The majority of filling stations, which were previously selling the product for N540 or N550 per litre, had stopped dispensing it
However, before 4 pm, the filling stations reopened and were selling fuel at a new pump price of N600 per litre.
