Maj. Gen. Christopher Musa, the chief of the Nigerian military staff, asserts that “the Armed Forces of Nigeria have a sacred duty to protect the people and the constitution.”

He said this yesterday in Istanbul, Turkey, at the 16th International Defense Industry Fair.

“Just as darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that,” he continued.

“Illegitimacy should not be allowed to supplant legitimacy in Africa.”
