Carney Chukwuemeka has received praise from Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, who calls the England U21 standout a “very talented” player.

Chukwuemeka made a £20 million summer 2017 transfer from Aston Villa to Chelsea.

He has played 14 times for the west Londoners in the Premier League.

Before Chelsea’s preseason friendly match against Fulham on Sunday in the United States, Pochettino, who replaced Jose Mourinho as Chelsea manager at Stamford Bridge this summer, was questioned about the England U20s international.

He is a player who is capable of playing between the Nos. 10 and 8.

He is a really talented player with excellent qualities. He can utilize many areas of the field in our dynamic, Pochettino told NBC Sports.
