In October, The Slum King, an interesting crime series, will make its television debut on Africa Magic Showcase. Tobi Bakre plays Edafe “Maje Esu,” a flamboyant tycoon who rises to the top of the slums despite a sad upbringing, in the series, which debuts on October 8, 2023.

The Slum King is an engrossing tale of ambition, retaliation, and the pernicious effects of power. Edafe, who was just 11 years old, saw his entire family brutally murdered by a band of armed thieves. Edafe transforms into Maje, the brutal ruler of the slums, as a result of his overwhelming remorse and trauma.

Maje’s journey to power is paved with blood and betrayal. He joins a drug cartel network and quickly ascends the ranks, becoming one of the most feared and respected criminals in the city. But Maje’s success comes at a price.

Hermes Iyele, Kanayo O Kanayo, Funsho Adeolu, and a host of other brilliant actors can be seen in the cast of The Slum King, which also includes actors from BBNaija Level Up Season.
