Femi Falana, a human rights attorney and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has revealed that Omowunmi, the late artist Ilerioluwa Aloba aka MohBad’s wife, visited his office.
Omowunmi is making all the required arrangements to guarantee that the late singer is allowed to rest in complete peace while she fights for justice for her deceased husband.
The Nation claimed that MohBad died away on September 12 and was buried the next day.
The talented singer’s untimely death has triggered widespread requests for a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances behind his premature death.
In response to these requests, his wife, Omowunmi Aloba, contacted Femi Falana, a well-known advocate for human rights and justice.
Falana, in a conversation with The Punch, said Mrs. Aloba visited his office to plea for legal assistance in seeking justice for her late husband.
He stated his intention to aid her in her pursuit of truth and accountability.
Furthermore, Femi Falana took proactive measures to ensure that the situation is properly addressed inside the legal system.
He revealed that he discussed the subject with Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa.
During their encounter, Commissioner Owohunwa reportedly told Mr. Falana that a thorough inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death had already begun.
“The young widow of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, visited our office yesterday (Tuesday) to seek support in pursuing justice for her late husband.
We sent our condolences to her and the entire Aloba family and reassured her that we would do all in our power to find out what exactly caused the Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter’s tragic death.
“Thereafter, we met with Mr. Idowu Owohunwa, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, to discuss the police’s ongoing investigation into the incident. The CP informed me of the investigation’s current status, the man added.
