Despite persistent rumors suggesting he would leave Leicester City, Wilfred Ndidi insists he is still dedicated to the team.

After the Foxes’ relegation to the Sky Bet Championship the previous season, the midfielder’s name was linked to a transfer away from the King Power Stadium this summer.

Ndidi, though, chose to remain at the club despite enticing offers from Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

The 26-year-old said the thought of leaving the former Premier League champions never crossed his mind.

The Nigerian also expressed satisfaction with the work of new manager Enzo Maresca.

” To be honest, no. Because when he (Enzo Maresca) came, he tried to explain his philosophy and also the simplicity of the game and I just feel like it’s something I can actually learn from,”Ndidi told the club’s official website.

“I’ve been open-minded to try and learn more about his philosophy and his style of game and it’s been going well. I’m happy that I’m here.

“There’s no time that I wanted to leave. Sometimes I saw the news and I was just laughing because it wasn’t true.”
