Three people lost their lives in an accident that happened on the Osogbo-Ilobu highway, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun Command.
This was stated by the sector commander, Henry Benamaisia, in a statement released by Agnes Ogungbemi, the command’s spokeswoman, on Thursday in Osogbo.
According to Benamasia, the accident at the Ojutu Bridge on the Ilobu Highway today (Thursday) resulted in the deaths of two men and a woman and left five other people in critical condition.
He said that a white Mazda commercial vehicle lost control of its brake due to excessive speeding without any recourse to be safety conscious.
Three persons lost their lives in the lone accident while the remaining five others have been taken to Osun State Teaching Hospital for further treatment.

According to him, three cell phones were recovered in the process and handed over to the Police.
Benamaisia warned motorists to drive with safety consciousness within the stipulated speed limit to ensure the safety of lives and properties in the state.
