The verdict, according to Adebutu, was unexpected, demoralizing, and a threat to the nation’s developing democracy.
Ladipupo Adebutu, the PDP candidate for governor of Ogun State in 2023, has declared he will appeal the decision of the electoral petitions tribunal on Saturday confirming Dapo Abiodun as the legitimately elected governor of the state.
Speaking on Monday, Adebutu disagreed with the tribunal’s ruling.
Adebutu characterized the decision of the three-person, Justice Hamidu Kunaza-led Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal to reject his petition opposing the election of Gov. Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress on March 18 as unexpected, demoralizing, and a threat to the nation’s developing democracy.
