The artist was seen with his sisters and other family members at the candlelight memorial service for his mother on October 11 evening.

Wizkid chose all-black clothing to fit the somber ambiance of the event.

During the parade, he leaned on his sister’s shoulder for support.

A video from the event, now circulating widely, captures Wizkid appearing on the verge of tears, visibly moved by the occasion.

 

 

Wizkid’s mother was a major influence in his life and provided steadfast support during his incredible ascension in the music business.

Wizkid was born on July 26, 1990, in Surulere, Lagos, and was raised in a polygamous home by a Muslim father and a Christian mother.
