Liverpool defeated Toulouse 5-1 at Anfield to make it three wins out of three in Group E of the UEFA Europa League.

Manager Jurgen Klopp made eight changes, but the hosts were too strong for the French Cup winners from the previous season.

In the ninth minute, Diogo Jota scored the first goal by dribbling past a few defenders and finishing coolly.

Seven minutes later, Thijs Dallinga of Toulouse answered, racing towards goal and slotting in a well-deserved equalizer after beating Liverpool’s high line.

The hosts then made amends in the 30th minute as stand-in captain Alexander-Arnold crossed for Wataru Endo to head home his maiden goal for the club.

Liverpool added a third shortly before half-time when Darwin Nunez struck a venomous shot into the roof of the net.

Midway through the second half the Reds made it 4-1 when Ryan Gravenberch scored a rebound after Nunez had somehow struck the post.

Substitute Salah then rounded off the scoring with a close-range shot that crashed in off the bar in stoppage time.

The win means Liverpool are now on the cusp of the last 16 as they are clear at the summit of the group with nine points from their first three outings.
