Following a string of Israeli airstrikes that attacked a central Gaza refugee camp late on a Saturday midnight, dozens of Palestinians were injured.

Early on Sunday, a number of Palestinian outlets brought attention to the unfortunate events that took place at the Al-Maghazi refugee camp.

The Sam’an family’s camp house was the target of the attacks, and the aftermath resulted in multiple casualties, many of whom were women and children.

The WAFA news agency reported that the aftermath of this attack resulted in numerous casualties, predominantly among the vulnerable groups of children and women.

The Gazan Health Ministry in the besieged Gaza Strip said in a statement that “the number of martyrs in the Maghazi massacre has risen to 45.”

Ministry spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra had initially reported 30 deaths.

“An Israeli airstrike targeted my neighbours’ house in Al-Maghazi camp, my house next door partially collapsed,” said Mohammed Alaloul, 37, a journalist working for the Turkish Anadolu Agency.

The Israeli military’s intensified air and ground operations on the Gaza Strip, in response to the October 7 Hamas incursion, have raised concerns about the escalating death toll.

Salama Marouf, the head of the Gaza Media Office, reported that the death toll resulting from Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip since October 7 has reached 9,500, including 3,900 children and 2,509 women. This stands in stark contrast to Israeli casualties, which currently number at 1,540.
