Monday night’s Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea ended in a 1-4 home loss for the London rivals.
The visitors were not expected to prevail in this highly anticipated match for numerous reasons. Mauricio Pochettino and his team did, however, emerge victorious from this match.
In the opening moments of the game, Dejan Kulusevski gave Spurs the lead. But from Chelsea’s point of view, the game was far from over.
Despite VAR enumerations, Chelsea found their way to level the match courtesy of Cole Palmer’s Penalty 10 minutes before the intermission.
And on the resumption of the second half, Chelsea took Spurs to the cleaners as they netted three times in the second half.
It was a wonderful performance from the West Londoners as striker Nicolas Jackson scored a hat-trick to take the game beyond Tottenham at home.
His goals came in the 74th, 90+4th and 90+5th minutes of the match. And it may have been enough to send his side on the path to season resurgence after a difficult campaign already for the Blues.
