Jordan’s King Abdullah II led an airdrop mission to deliver vital medical supplies to a field hospital in the Gaza Strip, demonstrating a spectacular show of solidarity.
Under the king’s direction, the Jordanian Air Force coordinated the supply of life-saving supplies to the hospital, which Jordan has been running in the enclave since 2009.
The humanitarian effort was highlighted by King Abdullah II on Monday, who said, “At midnight, our brave air force personnel air-dropped urgent medical aid to the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza.” It is our responsibility to assist those of our brethren who have been hurt in the Gaza War. Our Palestinian brothers and sisters have our undying support.”
Later on Monday, the Israeli military released a statement stating that it had “coordinated” with its neighbor, an Arab country, on the drop, adding that food was also included.
The equipment will be used by the medical staff for patients,β it said.
The statement disclosed that the delivery not only included medical supplies but also essential food items.
These supplies are intended for the dedicated medical staff at the hospital to provide the necessary care for patients.
This joint effort between Jordan and Israel demonstrates a rare instance of cooperation amid a challenging regional backdrop.
