President Tinubu arrives in Riyadh for the Saudi-African conference, hoping to entice investors.

In preparation for Friday, November 10, President Bola Tinubu arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday morning.

Amidst the meeting, President Tinubu will underscore Nigeria’s commitment to expanding trade relations and attracting increased foreign direct investment, which is being reinforced by the ongoing domestic economic reforms being implemented by his administration.

The first Saudi-African Summit will also cover a number of other topics, such as fostering collaboration, bolstering cross-sectoral investment cooperation, addressing security threats in the region, enhancing political coordination, and enabling economic transformation through research and the local development of new energy solutions.

The President was accompanied by the following officials: Sen. Abubakar Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning; Wale Edun, Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance; Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prof. Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education; and Dr. Betta Edu, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Jalal Arabi, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), and Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) are among the others.
