Mr. Godwin Emefiele, the arrested former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has once again been granted bail by an Abuja high court, this time for N300 million.

In a decision read by Justice Hamza Muazu, the court additionally mandated that the troubled former head of CBN present two sureties, both of whom had to be residents of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, and hold landed property in the Maitama District.

Nonetheless, the court set November 28 for the start of a full hearing on the six counts that the defendant was charged with by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Emefiele was already ordered by the court to turn in all of his travel documentation.
