Many of the locals have left their ancestral homes in the Kidandan community in Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna State, following a bandit raid.

Before kidnapping many of the community members, the bandits allegedly spent hours shooting intermittently and killing a few of them.

A source claims that the bandits turned hostile toward the farmers after they neglected to pay levies that had been placed on them.

The Kidandan attack comes a few days after the bombing of locals by an Army Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in Tudun Biri village of Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

It was earlier reported that For the past six days, bandits have been coming to Kidandan. These attacks were devastating. They came, terrified us, stole, and abducted our people. Every resident in Kidandan lives in extreme fear.”

He further explained that the women and children are leaving in droves, saying that a large number of those who embarked on the exodus are moving for safety.

The Kaduna State Police Command is yet to react to the incident.
