Following last week’s goal-less draw at Anfield, United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, started the lineup with three teenagers – Kambwala, Mainoo and Garnacho; the first time United has done so in the EPL since May 2021.

Today’s 2-0 loss marks United’s fourth defeat in six games and 20th in all competitions in 2023.

 

The Hammers now move to sixth position, nine points behind table leaders, Arsenal.
