Inter beat Juventus to go four points clear in Serie A

Simone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan secured a crucial three points at stake as they played at home against Serie A giants Juventus on Sunday night.

 

Both sides (Inter Milan and Juventus) came into the match fancying their chances amid the quality players both sides have in their team.

 

However, it was the Inter Milan side that found the breakthrough goal in the contest. Host Inter was fortunate to take the 1-0 lead courtesy of an own goal from Juventus’s right back Federico Gatti.

 

Despite further plot from both sides to get further goals in the first half, it wasn’t to be as it finished 1-0 to Inter Milan at the half-time break.

 

After the restart, both sides attempted to score but couldn’t get a goal against each other in the second half of the contest.

 

But Inter Milan’s trio of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marcus Thuram and Simone Inzaghi was shown a yellow card in the 51st, 77th and 79th minute of the match.

 

Whereas Juventus’s Gleison Bremer was booked as well in the 88th minute of the encounter. It finished 1-0 to Inter Milan who defeated rivals Juventus on Sunday.
