Serie A side, Napoli on Wednesday morning confirmed the appointment of former Inter Milan, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte as their new boss.
The 2022/2023 Italian champions offered Conte a three-year contract reportedly worth six million euros ($6.5 million) a season plus bonuses.
The arrival of the onetime AC Milan and Juventus star – who coached the latter in one of his managerial jobs – makes it the fifth time a new man will be on the dugout for the Naples side in little more than a year.
The fiery Italian has had running battles with former club bosses over control of tranfser activities and could sanction the acquisition of some of the biggest players in Europen football, a likely reassurance he must have gooten from the Pertopei owners.
Conte will also be looking forward to convincing his star players including Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen on the need to continue their careers at the Italian city rather seeking new lease of a life at other clubs .
