Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has opened up about the reasons her marriage ended.

 

In a chat with the hosts of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, the actress said a lot of factors contributed to her divorce from her husband Olakunle Fawole.

 

“He is older than me but the moment we got married, if I playfully insult him, he’ll say I’m disrespecting him”.

 

When Nedu, one of the hosts of the podcast, implies that it was not reason enough for a divorce, Yvonne Jegede replies that it was just one of the many reasons.

 

“I was bringing more of the money in the marriage, I was taking care of our son like nobody exists around me and it’s not easy, it’s not funny”, that actress said.

 

“I would have married for money and not for love”, she added.

 

Yvonne Jegede and Olankunle Fawole got married in 2017 and in less than two years of marriage, the couple announced their separation in 2019.
