Nigeria midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is on the cusp of sealing a €7 million transfer to SS Lazio following a green light from his Turkish club Hatayspor.
According to Monday’s X post by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, negotiations have reached advanced stages, requiring the 23-year-old midfielder to have his media shortly.
Born in Germany, Dele-Bashiru scored on his Nigeria debut, a face-saving 1-1 draw against South Africa in a 2026 FIFA World Cup CAF qualifying fixture at MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on June 10. He was an unused substitute in a subsequent match against Benin Republic in Ivory Coast, where the Super Eagles were humbled 2-1 by the Cheetahs.
He was a player for Sheffield Wednesday between 2020 and 2023, scoring five goals in 65 matches before moving to Hatayspor, where he scored eight goals in 36 appearances across all competitions for the Super Lig outfit last season.
