Super Eagles forward, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is set to complete a move to Italian Serie A club Lazio.

The 23-year-old Nigeria international could become new boss, Marco Barone’s third signing of the current window.

According to Sky Sports Italia, the attacking midfielder, who currently ply’s his trade in Turkey with Hatayspor, could arrive in the Eternal City on an initial loan deal, but with an obligation to buy at the end of next season.

Sky claimed  that Lazio’s initial interest was tempered by the fact that they were facing problems getting a work-permit for the youngster, but that that obstacle has been overcome and business can be concluded.

Dele-Bashiru grew up in the youth academy at Manchester City before joining League One side Sheffield Wednesday in the summer of 2020.

Hatayspor signed him as a free-agent last summer with a contract that expires in 2026. His next destination now looks set to be Serie A with his arrival in the Eternal City looking imminent.

Last month, he scored his first goal for the Super Eagles in a 1-1 draw with South Africa in a 2026 World Cup qualifier in Uyo. He made his Super Eagles debut last year.
