Burna Boy is not entertaining attacks from fans who are chiding him for being silent and not partaking in the nationwide protests.

The Nigerian singer disclosed that the demonstrators were against his song being played at the demonstration grounds back in October 2020, during the nationwide “End Sars” protests.

Quoting a video of the protests in 2020 shouting “No play Burna Boy here oo, no play Burna Boy. We don cancel am”, the singer expressed regret that Nigerians don’t appreciate him.

Explaining why he would not be participating in the protests slated for Thursday, August 1, 2024, the Grammy award-winning singer stated that Nigerians fought him instead of the government.

The Nigerian singer also replied to some fans who stated that he had been ripped of his ‘African Giant’ title because he was not living up to the name.

Burna Boy also exonerated himself from rumours about his affiliation with politicians.
