Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has approved the payment of a sum of  N1.2 billion  as  gratuities to   pensioners who retired  from the State Civil Service  from 23rd September 2014 to 6th  March, 2015.

A statement  from the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Pension Transitional Arrangement Department (PTAD) , Mr Francis Omotoso made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti said the Governor’s gesture is a further  demonstration of the unwavering commitment  of the present administration to the welfare of retirees  in the State.

Mr. Omotoso added that the disbursement of gratuity cheques  to the retirees coincides with the 2024 Pensioners’ Day Celebration  in the State scheduled to hold on   Saturday 12th October,2024 at  the Eagle Hall, along Ikere Road, Ado-Ekiti .

He stated the Governor Oyebanji is expected to flag off the distribution of cheques to the retirees at the event slated for 10.00am.
