An 18-seater commercial bus was involved in a deadly accident on Saturday along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, resulting in the deaths of at least six individuals and the injury of numerous more.

The crash has caused a major gridlock, leaving commuters stranded for hours as emergency responders work to clear the wreckage and rescue victims.

As of the time of filing this report, rescue operations are still on-going, with emergency teams battling to save those trapped and manage the aftermath of the tragic incident.

Federal Road Safety Corps officers and others are still at the scene of the accident.
