The Government Girls Secondary School, Dapchi, Bursari local government area of Yobe State is believed to have come under attacks by the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

 

Although with sketchy details, Yobe State Commissioner of Police Abdumaliki Sunmonu has confirmed the attack, but assured the security agencies are on top of the situation.

 

According to some media reports, a teacher in the school who claimed to have escaped the attack said the attackers shot sporadically into the air, and staff and students took cover in the nearby bushes.

 

It was also alleged that the attackers attacked a military base at the entrance of the town.
