Toke Makinwa, a well-known media figure and internet celebrity, will play the main character in the worldwide travel movie “180 Nigeria.” according to Premium Times.

Family-friendly movie “180 Nigeria” is anticipated to be a dynamic presentation of Nigeria’s rich culture, cherished values, enduring traditions, iconic monuments, and, most importantly, the vibrant spirit of its people.

The Temple Company, Oxygen, and Pinnaclemena Media Nigeria collaborated on this fascinating project, and they just revealed its specifics at a press conference held at Ogidi Studios in Lekki, Lagos.

In addition to playing the lead, Toke Makinwa also serves as the project’s executive producer. She spoke about the undertaking. She praised the intriguing script, calling it a potent message to humanity, and expressed her respect for it. She said, “As much as I love acting, I have been thinking about the next step in my career, and this movie seemed to be the right opportunity for me to don the hat of an executive producer and have my input in the development of this movie.”

 

The film will examine 10 of Nigeria’s 36 states when it premieres in early 2024. Additionally, there will be filming in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

180 The film’s director from Nigeria, Bunmi Ajakaiye, said she wanted to show African women in a fresh light.

She said, “I am incredibly passionate about telling stories from the female gaze. The African woman is one of the most intriguing, compelling, and complex characters ever – capturing her triumphs, sacrifices, fearlessness, and freedom through the lens will never lose its appeal.”
