In response to the BBC’s article on the dispute surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s records from Chicago State University, Atiku Abubakar filed a complaint.

Atiku Petitions BBC Over Report On Tinubu's Certificate Scan

Phrank Shaibu, Atiku’s Special Assistant on Public Communication, made the announcement during an appearance with Politics Today on Channels TV.

There is no indication that Tinubu fabricated his academic credentials, according to a story by the BBC on the certificate issue titled “Bola Tinubu Diploma: No Evidence Nigeria’s President Forged College Record.”

Shaibu revealed during his interview with Channels TV that the BBC’s highest management has been contacted about the matter.

“When they mentioned a BBC article, I chuckled at the degree of pedestrianism. The three teenagers who authored that piece are not even BBC employees. They resemble a fact-checking crew exactly.

“Let me introduce Olaronke Alo, one of the report’s writers. He was a reporter and presenter for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s TVC as of 2019.

“We don’t need a clairvoyant’s help to figure out how the stories were put together. You can learn that they obtained a genuine certified copy of the position from Frank Shaibu in the first paragraph. I emailed it to the reporter who had requested it.

“The same story asserts that we did not react when they attempted to contact the Atiku media team.

In addition to writing a petition to the BBC, we have brought up this issue with top management, he said. “They allowed their platform to be used for a hatched job like this.”
