On Friday, October 13, 2023, at the inquest, Magistrate Sotobi Adedayo of the Candide Johnson Courthouse in Ikorodu, Lagos State, gave the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, instructions to make sure that Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Primeboy would be present at the next adjourned date of October 25, 2023. At Panti, Marley and Larry are currently being held.

In order for MohBad’s remains to be finally laid to rest, the magistrate urged interested parties to avoid encouraging delay in the investigation and for quick and efficient justice delivery in the singer’s death.

The SCID’s homicide section’s investigating police officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Muhammad Yusuf, said that during the course of their investigation, they had found no proof that Naira Marley had physically assaulted Mohbad or that Sam Larry and Nira Marleay were connected to Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the nurse who gave the deceased the injection.

Mohbad passed away on Tuesday, September 12, and on Friday, October 6, following weeks of investigation, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, announced that the primary suspects in the singer’s death were the auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who gave Mohbad the injection; his friend and fellow musician, Ibrahim Owoduni, aka Prime Boy; and another friend, Ayobami Sadiq.

He stated that 26 persons were questioned by the police, and that five suspects have so far been named, taken into custody, and questioned about their alleged roles in the series of incidents that resulted in the singer’s death. He said that Ogedengbe gave him three different shots, which are thought to have set off a series of events that ultimately led to the singer’s demise.
