In Plano, Texas, a tiny aircraft, recognized as a single-engine Mooney M20, crashed and caught fire close to a strip mall.
The pilot, the only occupant of the aircraft, died tragically as a result of the tragedy, which happened just north of Air Park-Dallas Airport.
Thankfully, there were no reports of casualties on the ground, but the collision caused an adjacent parked car to catch fire.
It was also mentioned that the debris found tucked away in a parking lot close to a café and nail salon in the Dallas suburb, not far from the shopping mall.
Despite the close proximity to businesses, authorities confirmed that no one on the ground was harmed during the crash
The cause of the crash was under investigation. It wasn’t immediately clear whether the plane was taking off or trying to land at the small suburban airport, which has a single runway.
