Nigerian actor turned pastor, Yul Edochie is at the receiving end of heavy criticism from fans after some comments he made about late Nollywood actor, Junior Pope.

 

Yul Edochie, in a writeup on his Instagram page today, May 21, 2024, just three days after the funeral of the late Junior Pope, revealed the reason why he has remained silent since the actor passed on and why he did not attend the funeral.

 

The actor-cum-pastor claimed that Junior Pope betrayed him repeatedly despite taking him (Junior Pope) as a brother.

 

“I didn’t want to say anything till after his burial”, Yul Edochie wrote. “I know many asked why I wasn’t there and why I haven’t said anything about it since. I took him like a brother and a good friend. I was there for him when he needed me. But he stabbed me in the back repeatedly. That’s life”.

 

 

He also assured the public that he would drop full details of his revelations so that “others can learn from it”.

 

However, the closing statement has triggered a lot of controversy and criticism from the public, with many tagging Yul Edochie as “insensitive” and “without emotional intelligence”.

 

 

The last statement said, “Be careful what you wish people, it could come to you”.
