Hatayspor of Turkey midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has revealed that with the level of players presently in Nigeria’s Super Eagles, they have that confidence of beating any opponent.
The former Sheffield Wednesday player said this in an interview on Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) TV from the Eagles’ camp in Uyo.
The Eagles will be looking forward to securing their first win in Group C of the World Cup qualifying campaign when they host South Africa on Friday, 7 June and on June 10, will travel to Côte d’Ivoire to be the guests of Benin Republic.
Ahead of the two crucial fixtures Dele-Bashiru, who part of the players invited for the qualifiers said: “Winning against South Africa would add a boost for us because going into every game we have supreme confidence that we can beat the opponent.
“I think we will take this games one by one hoping to get the victories in both games.”
Dele-Bashiru described the training sessions under new coach, Finidi George and his crew as enjoyable.
“I’ve really been enjoying the training, Coach Finidi George has a new backroom staff so the training has been very enjoyable. We’ve also had some running and physical sessions which I have enjoyed,” he added.
