Ahead of an alleged nationwide protest set to rock Nigeria as a result of the crumbling economy and rising inflation, Nollywood actor, Yul Edochi has pleaded with the planners to sheathe their swords.

In a post on his official Instagram page on July 19, 2024, the actor stated that a nationwide protest was not the solution, instead, it would worsen the already tense situation in the country.

“I acknowledge the hardship in the country, the situation of things. It’s affecting everyone. I believe all will be well. Protest is not the answer. People take advantage of protests to break into other people’s shops, steal, destroy properties, hurt and kill innocent Nigerians who are already going through a lot”, Yul Edochie wrote.

“In the end, the aim of the protest will be defeated. Remember what happened during End Sars. Protest is not the answer”.

The actor, who supported President Tinubu wholeheartedly throughout his campaign, asked Nigerians to exercise patience with the leader, pointing out that he is making every effort to set Nigeria on the correct course.
