E-commerce platform, Jumia Nigeria, has kicked off the Jumia Festival 2024, a two-week shopping event aimed at offering discounts on products and empowering businesses to reach a broader audience.
The festival, themed ‘Shop Authentic, Save More’, kicked off on September 13, and will run until September 29, 2024.
According to Jumia in a statement, the event reflects its commitment to providing Nigerians with access to genuine products at affordable prices, especially in the face of current economic challenges.
Jumia Nigeria CEO, Sunil Natraj, said the shopping festival was the company’s way of giving back to the community.
“By collaborating with our local and international brand partners, we can offer unbeatable deals that help consumers save more while supporting sellers to expand their reach,” Natraj noted.
Some of the brands participating in the festival included Tecno, Oraimo, Infinix, Nivea, Xiaomi, Itel, Adidas, PZ Cussons, Diageo, and Pernod Ricard, it stated.
The Marketing Manager at Tecno Mobile, Damilare Omotimehin, noted that the Jumia Festival allowed consumers to explore their products at affordable rates.
Omotimehin said, “At TECNO, we believe everyone deserves access to the latest smart technology. The Jumia Festival provides a great opportunity for consumers to explore our innovative products at prices that fit today’s budget.”
