General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Dimeji Lawal, has hailed the teeming supporters and fans of the club for turning up enmass for Sunday’s NPFL Matchday two clash against Plateau United.
The ex-international in a chat with Shooting Stars Media, hours after the Oluyole Warriors were held to a 1-1 draw by the Peace Boys, described the supporters and fans attendance as massive and encouraging.
“As a club, we are grateful to all our fans and supporters for massive presence at the stadium on Sunday. That was indeed encouraging, I give it to them”.
The former Golden Eagles and Flying Eagles winger however, tendered an apology to the fans on the inability of the team to secure the maximum points against the visitors, assuring that the team will keep improving as the season progresses.
“Let me, on behalf of my Chairman, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, the management and the entire team, apologise to all our supporters and fans. We know they expected victory but unfortunately, we couldn’t give it to them.
“We are deeply sorry, that is football but I want to assure them that they will see an improved team as the season progresses, we will surely make them happy this season”, stated Kabongo, who assured that the Gbenga Ogunbote-led technical crew will work on the grey areas noted during Sunday’s encounter.
